About the Founder: Chaunci D. Witherspoon
Chaunci D. Witherspoon built his career during one of the most rapidly changing periods in modern real estate. Over the last twenty years, he has worked across lending, operations, fintech, and senior leadership roles, giving him a complete understanding of how buyers, agents, and lenders navigate the housing market.
His journey began in operations, where he became known for turning underperforming regions profitable through disciplined management and data driven decision making. As the lending world shifted toward online systems after 2010, Chaunci moved into finance and mortgage operations, helping new fintech lenders build digital platforms and contributing to major funding milestones such as a multimillion dollar credit facility for a startup lender.
By the mid 2010s, he was leading multi state lending operations and later moved into high performing roles with national retail lenders. As Vice President of Mortgage Lending at Guaranteed Rate, he became recognized for shortening closing timelines, increasing approval rates, and helping clients navigate complex financial situations with clarity and confidence.
After seeing how the industry was becoming faster but less personalized for buyers, he created Kinsfolk Mortgage and later Kinsfolk Signature Realty with one goal. Provide structured, transparent, and supportive guidance throughout the entire home buying process.
Hometrino was built on that same philosophy. It is designed as a simple, modern home search platform that helps families explore properties, understand market trends, and connect with trusted professionals without confusion or pressure.
